Thank you all very much! I love to hand quilt but it does take forever!! I am keeping track of the approximate hours involved in hand quilting this and will let you know when I post a final pic. But that probably won't be for a while.

oh wow, I'd love to be able to hand quilt like you. What a pretty quilt and gorgeous quilting.

Love your quilt! Being a handquilter myself, I can appreciate the time and effort that goes into a quilt like yours. I kept a log of the time spent quilting the last baby quilt I made.... A total of 62.5 hours to complete a 36x36" piece! It is a good thing it is so satisfying to see the work come to life as each stitch is made.

I am just amazed by all of you who hand quilt. It must take you forever! But, I've been toying with the idea myself. Handwork can be so relaxing and feel so meaningful.

And for those of you who want to try hand quilting and haven't please do. Practice makes perfect. It is easier for me in the hoop pictured, though I end up having to move it a lot. It works out in the long run as it is easier on my back.
