Please, Karla, tell me your last name because I want to get your book. Sorry I am not as much "in the know" as others. Thank you. By the way, your works is splendid!!

If the piece is going to be on the table then you have more than enough quilting in it-don't go back now.Murphy's law you know-lol.
You never really get enough for a quilted project but I think $70 is just about right.

It's very pretty!

another truth is that she sees value in your work that you have not yet allowed yourself to see.

if you have already quoted $85, then of course you must stick to it. a deal is a deal.

Patrice is absolutely right!!! Here's what my friend and LQS owner tells me, add time hours at cost you would expect to be paid for working at a job, fabric costs, batting cost, thread cost then multiply the total by 3 to get the charge for a customer. She would advise you to charge at least $250 for the 40 x40. In our market of many many beach goers, it works. Not every community is the same. You have to know your area and your audience. For me I put a lot of heart into my quilting, how do you charge for that??

Great quilt. Love the fabrics, especially the backing.

I'm pretty careful about what I sell for. I got $300 for a large ragged flannel--it came to $15/hour. They bought the fabric. (Dana's quilt on my website).

I'm hoping to really get a lot of things made for the Nov craft sale. The woman in charge said they haven't had anyone selling quilted stuff! :D I guess last year there was too much jewelry.

I'll be good. I'll just say things like "Oh my if I ask any less for that one, Patrice and Terri will never let me forget it. Sorry, but the price is FIRM!" How's that?

Multiplied by 3!!!! Never undersell yourself. $15 an hour with all the love and heart you put into it is cheap!!! There are lots of charities that would love to have you do that kind of work for them for your low prices. Let's not sell to parents of students anymore (learned the hard way, I used to do the same thing, NO MORE!! they take advantage every time) unless you can charge them the full price deserved. Tell them the sale is on November 25th at whatever location you choose and the prices are firm!

Promise?????
