*gulp* I've been doing this for a little while, and there are so many different patterns that I haven't even attempted something with points until now.
I've played with EQ and made a dozen things on the computer. First attempt in real life. :) Not too bad, even if I do say so myself. |
love the colors!
STUNNING!!!! If this is your first attempt in "real life", watch out ... MASTERPIECES coming!!! :D 8-)  :-D
You did a great job.

Beautiful colors and great workmanship! I look forward to seeing more from you
I just love the vibrant colors.
wow love the look. I think real life is great. Turn more of those computer designs into real.
Thank you, ladies. I want to make sure I clarify that this isn't my first quilt attempt IRL...just my first attempt at non-squared and easy things. Now if I could just get past my fear of FMQ, I'd be golden.
wow looks great-love the fabric
Absolutely fabulous! Are you making more blocks? Out of the same material? Please show us when you make more.
Beautiful! You got the points to line up perfect !!
Beautiful!! I love the colors!

That is gorgeous, keep going! Im born and raised in Arizona. Live in Mesa now. Are you down in the valley or in beautiful Sedona (looking at avatar) lol.
Great work |
You picked the perfect matching colors. It is great.
Love this!!!! Great job!! :P
That is fine fabric! When I get past squares and rectangles, I'll try better fabric to get better points. Your block is beautiful and looks perfect! Color coordination is professional looking.
You did a great job. The colors are wonderful. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks again for the compliments.
NikkiLu - I will be doing more of the same, but in different color combos. I have quite a few batik scraps in my stash from past projects, and should have enough for at least a lap quilt. suebee - I'm in the Valley. I took the avatar pic in 2005 before I relocated here, and I just thought it was pretty. :) I'd love to live up there though. I'm still playing with EQ, but I'm thinking something similar to the attached star as a center medallion. On point. Spiky, pointy center border. Random stars of different design floating outside it. Regular border....with spiky things in each corner and along the center of each side. EDIT: The colors will obviously be different. :D I was playing with the pattern and grabbed the wrong color combo as a jpg. |
You did great! Love the colors.
That looks great!!
Great job!
