Great idea! Love the finished product.

What a great idea. Your baby seems to love the new bed.
I LOVED your step-by-step directions. So cute. Also, I am impressed by the beautiful quilt you made for your "baby". I feel like I've cheated mine, because I only have put binding on my "test pieces" when I am working on getting my tension right. Ellen

Too cute. And it goes with the decor. Your baby is a cutie also.

I love my Sheltie, but I couldn't give her a quilt that beautiful....she would have it chewed up in a week!

Haha great! Does your dog like to be higher up? I thought you were going to take the legs off, flip it over, and put the mattress in there.

The idea is grand...the quilt is over the top for a dog....you must really love them!!
That is one lucky dog. Nice job!
Beautiful, and your dog looks so content. My little short-leggers would love that, only ground level, lol. As far as quilts for dogs? I bought a beautiful handmade quilt and the woman had also made a pair of pillow shams to go with it, bless her. Daisy, my bigger dachshund, who really appreciates the good things in life, has one in her crate. She gets to share mine on the couch. The other three....under close supervision.

great idea and I might use it, my dog feels the need to be in my bed but if I did that he'd be close to me and not in my bed.
Very ingenious. Do your pups want to get under that handsome quilt?
what a lucky furbaby, he looks happy . you made him a beautiful quilt.that is a great idea too out of the table. what a great idea to get them up and out of the draft.
My dogs are extremely spoiled too, but they just sleep on me and my quilts. My yorkies are only 5 pds each so they don't take up much room. I have to say that is an extremely gorgeous quilt. Since I am a fairly new quilter I am going to ask a dumb question. I would love to make one like that and would love to have the pattern. Is this just a standard spiderweb quilt or is there a special pattern for this. I have been extremely picky in the quilts I want to make and this one is too beautiful to pass up. Thanks for sharing with us.

How cute..and clever!!! Love the quilt. Only problem is my female rat terrier Emma would eat the quilt. She's always tried to eat her bedding especially if it has a zipper in it. She loves the stuffing or foam rubber that comes in them. Finally stopped her from getting to either by using shams to put their matresses in. LOL

I wish I was your doggie!!! That is beautiful.
What a very lucky dog you have and what a very lucky human he/she has, I wish all doggies and cats could have such wonderful love and care that you have given to your fur baby.
Wow is that one of the nicest doggie beds I have ever seen!
LOVE LOVE the blue and brown quilt! cute dog too! Maybe I need to make one of these. My dogs think the couch is for them and occasionally they let me share their couch!
Beautiful pupper, lovely bed and Wow! What a quilt. Love it all.
That is so fabulous..those lucky doggies. I want one too!lol....
Now that's creative and they really are "lucky dogs".

Pretty quilt! I thought we spoiled our pup(5yrs).I took a excerise trampoline(hard wood floors are cold),bought a twin comforter, folded in fourths, made a lg. pillowcase with velco for closing(It has to be washable)Put the comforter in it. I buy some towels (also comforter) at 2nd. hand stores to throw on top of it(why?). Most dogs like to move bedding to their liking and they can be easily replaced. In the past, I only redid the bed 4 times x 3 for our other pups in fourteen yrs. Of course,if we were home they had the run of the couch (I mean the house) Tinker

You get the clever idea of the year.
Lucky doggie, to have such a caring master. By the way the quilt is great.... |
viola a very spoiled fur baby-what a beautiful quilt! How inventive of you to make a bed out of the coffee table!!! Great job
Too adorable both quilt and pups.
Lucky dogs... so to speak! I love that the dogs's bed is also color coordinated with the rest of the decor - perfect :)
Great idea. They can be in the thick of things on their own comfortable bed. You are an amazing pet owner and they are very lucky to have you. Thank you for sharing.

I am laughing quietly so everyone in the office doesn't come running in to see what I am doing. The things we do to accommodate our pets and children. Tee-Hee!
Like the quilt. I have a Spider Web going right now and was wondering how to make it just a little bigger. Your scrappy boarder is the answer. Thanks! |
Lucky pooch! What a wonderful idea and your quilt is absolutely gorgeous! My Shelties are pouting!
ooooh now there you go. wonderful idea. lol. My cats just lay on whatever is new to them. hehehe
Oh my! How spoiled is that? lol. Love your work! The quilting is fit for royalty! Your idea is the greatest.
Wow, wow, wow!!!! Brilliant to say the least, I love your idea and your doggie quilt is beautiful and of course I love your doggie. Bet she is proud of the new bed and beautiful quilt. I guess I better get with it and make a quilt for my two doggies. Thank you for sharing that ingenious idea.

I remember when you asked for suggestions about the color of the wall in back of your couch. I have been meaning to tell you how great your choice compliments your couch, both awesome. Now you have done it again, I love the quilt pattern as well of your choice of colors. Then there is your choice of pet. I lost my dear dog just before Thanksgiving to cancer. I was so lonely without her that I went out just before Christmas and got a young Pit Bull. Now as everyone knows they are supposed to be the bad boys of the dog world. Not so, my guy is extremely affectionate and has a great sense of humor. Your creative choices really inspire me!

Rotten, they are really rotten. Lovely quilt.
Wow, I love your dogs quilt, and what a clever idea to get him up off floor. That quilt has such pretty colors and I like the web pattern!!!!!!
