I just finished this for my 15yo son.
He picked the shirts he liked from Goodwill & this is what we came up with.
It will fit his twin bed nicely.:)

That turned out to be a gorgeous quilt. He had good taste in selecting the shirts. Just wondering, how many did he buy for it?

Very cool quilt and I love the binding.

It came out very nice.. I did a queen size rag quilt from flannel shirts I got at Goodwill.. I loved the quality choices there were.. The store that I went to sells the clothes by the pound... and I started collecting in the summer so there were plenty of long sleeve shirts to be had..

Wonderful! Now that's the way our foremothers did it - use it up! So saved a lot of cash on fabrics, made the boy what he likes, and gave a donation to a worthy cause. That's a big win all around!

dove 07-13-2012 04:26 PM

that is fantastic and you would never know it came from shirts!....great job!
