You did a beautiful job. Congrats on your quilt and the wedding. My Son is getting married too (in Sept.) and I havent even started one yet. Going to be challenging since they are young and not into the traditional quilts much. Ugh!

The double wedding ring quilt, turned out great. Really like the fabric you chose. This quilt is on my to do list but so scared to do one.

QM 02-15-2012 08:25 PM

Very, very nice. (BTW, none of us ever makes a perfect quilt. I went to a traveling show by a group of professional quilters several years ago. All the quilts were stunning. None of them were perfect. I know beccause after I saw an error in one stunning quilt, I went back and looked for mistakes.) Don't sweat small errors. The overall effect of your quilt is excellent. I am sure it will be appreciated.

Cuddly Quilter 02-16-2012 01:52 AM

It is so lovely to see a wedding quilt done in simple colours. Your choice of fabrics are beautiful. What name is the fabric? Your quilting work in the centres is stunning. The whole quilt will be treasured for years and years and loved i am sure. Well done.

An elegant double wedding ring - a wonderful gift for a Son's wedding. It's a great step into Mother-in-lawhood! Best wishes to you all.

It is beautiful

sandyms 02-16-2012 04:34 AM

You're a braver person than me!! I haven't attempted DWR yet. Daughter thought I might make her one for her upcoming wedding, then said "you never made one of those, have you?" I said no, but look up a picture of a Jewel Box quilt and if it comes up with a black background, just picture it with a white one. Guess what? Her Jewel Box quilt, in batiks and a light cream background, is finished, just need to make the label for it today :)

Quiltngolfer 02-16-2012 04:40 AM

Oh my! My grandson is getting married in Sept. I wish I was experienced enough to something like this for him. I'm too new to quilting to try anything like this. I love it and I'm jealous! lol
