My brother lives in Arizona and I wanted to make him a wall hanging that would fit in with his decorating style. What I came up with was inspired by rusted metal wall art I saw some time ago. I used both raw and turned edge applique along with a variation of Ricky Tims convergence quilts for the backround. Free motion work finished it off.

Omgoodness. That is awesome. Well done.

VERY nice!! You should ask your brother if you could borrow it to enter into a few shows.

I don't know about the rest of you, but when I first saw it I heard the whistle music from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".

suebee 05-23-2011 05:12 PM

I'm not big on SW but this wall hanging is incredible. Really nice and prize winning in my book.

Yooper32 05-24-2011 03:54 AM

Spectacular! Dummy me, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what everyone was raving about, all I saw was a work surface with a sketch and one figure, a ruler and pincushion, etc. I finally decided there has to be something I am missing, scrolled back up and finally saw the little red x. Ah, hah! Now I know what all the fuss was about. It truly is a work of art.

MaryKatherine 05-24-2011 03:57 AM
