... there's a nice crop of them coming up!

These are from Wilmington Prints' "Autumn in the Air" collection. The group also includes pheasant motifs and rural barn scenics, but here are the land-and-sky designs.

Grass in two colors:

Three skies. Not sure if I like the goldy-orange one, myself, though it would be useful for a sunset.

Elisabrat 01-15-2010 05:16 AM

Great grass and the goldy one looks like something is on fire.. scary! the sky is nice too.. put that above the waves you had on earlier.. and waiting for the sand postings and maybe an applique sea shell and well.. get with it. The idea is right there in your little buy me box...

These next ones are also from Wilmington. The collection is called "Reel 'em In".

Ok. It's called "underwater scenic". Might we say that would be taking landscape quilting to "new depths"? :)

And more sky. Note the birds, that's different. Do you like the and think they add something? Or would it be better off without them?

Water, water everywhere...

Love the colors in the darker one!

And rocks.

The collection also includes fishermen and boat. And fish. (These were just the landscape-y coordinates.)

beachlady 01-15-2010 05:21 AM

Like them all - the birds do look like seagulls, so would go nice in a beachy themed quilt. Does your store carry all of these?

Need more? These are from "Last Light" by South Sea Imports.

There's a wallhanging panel and a stripe and a scenic:

And birch tree trunks. That makes I think the fourth collection recently with birch!

susiequilt 01-15-2010 05:57 AM

I like my sky very light blue with clouds. I like the first one with the birds. The others are too dark for me.
The others are lovely! I can see lots of possibilities for those fabrics.

LovingIzabella 01-15-2010 06:00 AM

I LOVE them all-especially the SSI fabrics!
Hugs

Esqmommy 01-15-2010 06:27 AM

Ooooh, wow, so many beautiful fabrics. I love the birch trees.

Charlee 01-15-2010 06:56 AM

Those will be fun to work with!
As for the birds...I had an art instructor once tell me to always add a bird to the sky...that birds add life...
When I asked her about the people or animals in a painting, she repeated herself..."birds add life".

janRN 01-15-2010 07:03 AM

Wow-I love them all. I've never made a landscape quilt-I'd probably use these as "blenders".
Thanks again for posting these. It gets us looking ahead and of course, planning MORE projects LOL.

crkathleen 01-15-2010 07:09 AM

Why do you tease me so?

nursie76 01-15-2010 07:10 AM

Wow! Love all of them! A quilt with fabrics purchased during last years trip across America is on my "to do" list for this year. I intend to make about 4 landscape appliques from specific places and surround with quilt blocks bearing the names of the states we visited. These fabrics would make the scenic blocks just come alive! Thanks for sharing. Now I am getting excited about starting the quilt!

cande 01-15-2010 07:15 AM

Wow!! I really like the grasses

Candace 01-15-2010 07:41 AM

I'm a sucker for sky fabric and those are great. I don't care for the birds, though. I think it limits the use of the fabric. I'd prefer it withOUT the birds. But there are so many others to choose from I'm sure I'd survive:>

rootyr 01-15-2010 08:33 AM

Just fantastic!

littlehud 01-15-2010 08:39 AM

Those are cool and would work so well in some of the art quilts.

Cheryl 01-15-2010 08:41 AM

Wow I see some that I want to get can't wait.....

Tippy 01-15-2010 09:40 AM

Hmm, I like them all.. and I LOVE the sky ones... when are they coming out? Who makes them?

joeyoz 01-15-2010 10:23 AM

Those are all awesome. I love landscape fabrics.

butterflywing 01-15-2010 10:24 AM

i like the sky ones. they have a batik feeling but are probably easier to work with.

Reminds me of my mother. She oil paints and when has a lot of sky she feels she must put a bird in it!!

Naturalmama 01-15-2010 11:25 AM

Wow - where did you find these?!

azcatlady 01-15-2010 01:37 PM

I loved all but a couple of these :D:D:D
I really liked the addition of the birds, especially if they are scattered fairly far apart :D

earthwalker 01-15-2010 05:06 PM

Love 'em all...specially the birch trees.

sewjoyce 01-15-2010 06:31 PM

Wow -- looks like Mother Nature came to life right on the fabrics! :D

barnbum 01-15-2010 06:41 PM
