What a lovely color combination! I can't imagine all that tedious work. PP is always so tedious (to me), but the results are always fantastic, and yours is no exception!

silverfoxmag 07-30-2016 07:32 AM

Awesome!!!

Bueniebabe 07-30-2016 07:41 AM

I love doing pp

Pinkquilter59 07-30-2016 07:47 AM

Thank you. I just ordered the pattern and enough paper to make a king size. I primarily quilt with batiks, so I can't wait to see the outcome. Your quilt is beautiful. Keep up with the PP

MargeD 07-30-2016 08:07 AM

It may have been a pain picking out the little paper pieces, but I think it was worth it, as it's a gorgeous quilt. I love it.

annette1952 07-30-2016 08:57 AM

Nice spinning wheels quilt.

busy fingers 07-30-2016 10:39 PM

A lovely result.

I know what you mean about picking out those teeny tiny bits of paper. I was wondering if they were wet would it make it any easier? Thoughts on this anyone.........please

Cookie46 07-30-2016 10:48 PM

Very pretty!

grammasharon 07-31-2016 03:33 AM

Beautiful quilt!

pahega 07-31-2016 03:50 AM

I think picking out all of those tiny corner pieces wouldn't be such an issue if you used a fabric that wasn't white, but since I did, you could really see them and the stitching lines left in them.

Thanks for all of the compliments. For those of you who were asking, the real name for the quilt is Spinwheels I guess. You can get the pattern from a shop called Quilting on the Square in Holton, Kansas. I think fall colors would look really pretty in it, too.

Here is their web site:

and, here is the link to order the pattern:

I love that store. I went for the first time this Spring when I went to Topeka for a class! They are wonderful!

What a great job you did on this quilt.

klswift 07-31-2016 12:53 PM

Beautiful work. I don't do paper piecing partly because of the paper. But, I just had a thought. Has anyone done their paper piecing on the water soluble stabilizer? You could still trace your lines on it and after you were done, you could wet it.....if that works, I might be tempted to try it again. Please let me know.

nwm50 07-31-2016 02:14 PM
