Spinning Wheels
1 Attachment(s)
Here is a picture of my first paper piecing project called "Spinning Wheels". I sure got tired of picking out all of those tiny little corner pieces of paper, but it was a fun project to learn how to paper piece.

Very pretty quilt

That is quite lovely. It is amazing what a person can do with paper piecing. Those points are really sharp and nice looking.
|
Wow-very different looking pattern. Love the colors in the fabrics! Great job of PP!

Okay, I just did a search online for Spinning Wheels paper pieced quilt and came up with a boatload of patterns and none of them looked like this :( Can someone Please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!! |

Love the colors. I can't believe its your first piecing project. Fantastic.
|
This is a very cool quilt. You did a fantastic job! Where can I get this pattern? Next week I wii begin working on a paper piecing project. This will be my first one too. It doesn't look difficult to do, but I think it must be a chore to get the paper out of corners. Do you have any tips after making this quilt? One of the tips I've heard is to use a serated tracing wheel to light score the pattern before you begin.
|
Love your quilt! You are a fast learner to be able to make this first try! Congrats
|
Such a lovely quilt. I still haven't come up with the nerve to pp yet.
|
Thanks for all of the compliments. For those of you who were asking, the real name for the quilt is Spinwheels I guess. You can get the pattern from a shop called Quilting on the Square in Holton, Kansas. I think fall colors would look really pretty in it, too.
Here is their web site: http://www.quiltingonthesquare.com and, here is the link to order the pattern: http://webstore.quiltropolis.net/sto...3&Item_ID=2227 |
Great quilt, love your fabric choices!

That is a very pretty quilt and it looks like it was worth all the work you did on the corners.

great quilt! inspiring me to dig out the abandoned PP Christmas runner again! (maybe--LOL!)
|
Great job. It is hard getting all those smaller pieces out. I have a ripper that has a ripper on one end and tweezers on the other. I use both when I am removing paper. I haven't ripped a hole in any fabric yet.
|
I love this quilt!
|
Wow, it's beautiful. Kudos to you for challenging yourself with a new technique...you did a great job.
