Spring Bouquet quilted, bound & sent off for Christmas gift
 

When i showed pictures of my new longarm many of you asked about the 'Spring Bouquet' quilt hanging behind it. well, i finally managed to get it quilted (turned out pretty good), bound and packaged up to be sent to a wonderful Aunt in California. here's the finished quilt.

My Aunt is a special woman--I have not seen her in over 30 years, but think of her often, we (see) each other on facebook on occassion, an occassional card- she has no idea this is on it's way to her- she has had a fairly stressful year- and just moved. while i was working on this quilt i often thought about her- for no real reason, and when i was working on the binding i decided that it should be hers- so sent it off. i do not even know how she feels about quilts- but this one did make me think it was (her style) she's *70-something* my mom's next in line sister & when i was a teenager/young adult she was a favorite. :) she should receive it tomorrow...

That is the kind of quilt I have always wanted to do, in fact when someone asks why I started quilting, I tell them because I saw a Baltimore Album quilt and fell in love with it. After seeing your quilt, I am going to get my you know what in gear and jump right into one. Thanks for posting the picture and, as always, this site really gives me great encouragement to try something new.
