I have been working on this for about 3 months and have started setting the blocks. It is so exciting to see it come together. Can't wait for it to get done now...

I love your quilt so far! I have the 'blocks' made for this quilt, but wasn't happy with the way it looked. After seeing yours, I will add the star points to separate the pinwheel blocks. Thanks for the idea.

Beautiful blocks! I love the surprise element of stack and whack quilts. Your triangle fabric choice is great, it allows the butterflies to take center stage, but it's not blah either. Good job, well done so far!

The size depends on the length of pattern repeat. My fabric had about a 18 to 20 repeat. We stacked it 6 times and cut 6" strips and then cut on a 60 degree angles and then cut the diamonds to triangles.

It's going to be a real beaut when you finish! I love it! Don't 'cha LOVE "Stack & Whack"? They're addictive! Hmmm... maybe I should start another one...
