One of my favorite pattern I have found is Stairway to cat heaven. I decided to change it from a wall hanging to a quilt. My dad feeds the homeless cats as does my sister so I am making one for each. This is the full size and I am working on the queen size. This is just the top, ready to quilt. Hope you like it.

Not a cat lover, but I like it!

That pattern was needing to be made into a bed size, you've made it into a gorgeous quilt, littlehud. And thank your Dad for all of us cat lovers, please.
What a neat idea!! I love why you decided to give it to who you're giving it to. :-D More climbing kittens=more fun!!
I've made this before--it was fun. |
Excellent, I love it. We have two cats, and I bet my wife and daughters would go ape over that.
Not go ape, Eddie--they'd purr!
Sorry--couldn't resist. |
I have this pattern! Yours came out beautiful! I guess I need to start collecting fabrics for it!

Beautiful Quilt.

Hmm.. I feed homeless kitties... where do I get in line for a quilt????

It's simply marvelous! I love that pattern. You've made it even better than the original plan.

As a cat lover from childhood, I really like this. I can see how the shades change also. What a nice job.

Wow!! I'm a cat lover and I want one!! Is that one of the stray cats in the pic?
No that isn't one of them. He is one my DD brought home about 15 years ago. He is old and fading yet still thinks the yard is his. He loves my quilts too.
Love that pattern, you have done such a beautiful job with it. Kudos to all those who take care of our feline friends when they are in need.
I also have this pattern and the fabric for it. Just so busy. I need to get my storm at sea done and 4 tops quilted bfore I start another quilt. Lol. The life of a quilter! :)

You did a great job & I am sure they will love it, if not send it to me. Serena |
I just love it! How on earth did you enlarge it to full size? You are very smart!

very pretty
Can you give us the name of the pattern and how to make it larger? I think this came in a small throw size to begin with, didn't it? But I don't remember the name. Thanks!!
I like this idea very much, however, I think if I made a quilt like that, I wouldn't put in all those blocks. Just my personal taste; perhaps some buildings instead?
I do like it.
Here is the pattern I used. http://web.archive.org/web/200703022...ern/index.html I just increased the number of nine patch squares. The hardest part was the starry fabric. I cut it at a 45 degree angle and had to piece it some. It wasn't that hard to do.
:) Beautiful work!
