The second one is more striking because of the color combo, and I love the Asian fabric, but wish that the flowers were more centered in the squares. That being said, you're doing a fabulous job on your points with both and I would definitely complete both samples.

No. 1....made this years ago in a Christmas quilt. Stars were red and green print,background was Christmas prints on whitish backgrounds. Love your star.

I like #1 the best. Maybe replace your teal fabric and use the floral fabric that you are using in the second star instead.

I like the first blocks the most. However I suspect you like the second blocks better, so go with what YOU like!!!! Let us know how it turns out.
