After some smaller projects ( Mugsrugs and a tablerunner ) I finally found some time to work on my project again and I finished the first of the two quilttops. Itīs not perfect but ok for my first huge project and my hubby likes it the way it turned out so far, so I keep it that way.

I hope by end of this week the second one is finished too and then I can start making my mind about the batting and more important about the quilting. I think I will draw it on a sandwich paper. Never done that before, but I hope with a lot of patience I will make it; I only have a small picture in the magazine and I need to bring it on the quilttop.

thank you, of course I will, but it will take some more time. I think the quilting part (preparing and quilting itself) will take a lot of time ;)

Update ! After searching the forum intensive and reading a lot about quilting and counting my beginners skills to it I decided to paint it on sandwich paper and this week I started with the quilting part. This will take a while and I just wanted to share the start with you.

I found it so hard to decide on the right quilting patterns and I hope you like with what I came up.

I am done with Quilt 1 of 2.....finally. But health issues of my loved ones crossed my plans and took me away from my sewing room.

I am proud of myself and hope you like it too.

It took longer than I thought in the beginning, but due to my hubbies chronical illness that he became while I was working on this quilt for him, I couldnīt spend as much time as I planned, but today I finally finished the 2nd top and now I "only" must combine both tops and add the binding :)
