I'm doing two years, 1950 & 2017. It'll be interesting to see the difference 67 years make. All measurements are from the weather station at Barne Air National Guard base in Westfield, MA.

First picture is the plan, second is the fabrics and the third is the first 8 weeks of 1950.

Had issues loading the third picture. I miscounted. Four rows of 21 days is really 12 weeks.

that's going to be very pretty

Very interesting! We'll find out if we have global warming!

Looks like it will be pretty! Can't wait to see the final quilt.

Oh that's going to be gorgeous, I absolutely love those fabrics! Do you mind if I ask where you got them?

Jordan 09-10-2017 08:31 AM

That is going to be an absolutely beautiful quilt. Love, love, love your fabrics.

Very attractive start. How does this work? Do you take the average, high or low for each day?

quilterpurpledog 09-11-2017 03:51 AM

I really like your fabrics, but I don't understand what a 'temperature quilt' means. Explanation?

cindyb 09-11-2017 04:15 AM

Interesting. What temperature range for each color? Anxious to see more of an explanation. Will be watching this thread.

I'm using the hig for each day. It thinking about putting the lows on the back.

I really should proofread before I post. I meant to say that the quilt will show the high temp for each day in the year. I might put the lows on the back. Then again, that might be a second quilt.

I added 4 more rows, 12weeks, to 1950. Now I'm up to 6/16.

I finished 1950. Now, I need to move on to 2017. I'm excited to see the differences or similarities between the two years.
