Lovely! Wonderful job!

oma66 06-28-2011 05:48 AM

You are doing beautifully. I am getting ready to hand quilt a quilt that is 105x105 inches. I love hand quilting but the size is intimidating and I have to have it done by Dec.

You are doing such nice work. Very impressive indeed. Happy quilting!

bisseau 06-28-2011 05:51 AM

Very awesome! Do you plan on doing the grid plan in the circle?

kwhite 06-28-2011 05:56 AM

In the center? Yes I did the grid although I didn't make it 3/4 inch as they suggested. I did 1/2 inch apart. It looks like your grid is smaller then 3/4 too?

You are doing a beautiful job!

Yep, mine are 1/2 inch. How does the grid look in the center? I feel uneasy about it... I was gonna just leave it out, but it looks sorta empty.

kwhite 06-28-2011 06:22 AM

If you want me to I will post mine this evening. then you can see it. I like it though. I was uneasy about the grid in the green but couldn't find anything else I liked better, so I bit the bullet and did it.

rosiewell 06-28-2011 06:31 AM

beautiful stitches!

Meme2six 06-28-2011 11:51 AM

Beautiful quilting! All I've done is straight quilting within blocks. You make me want to try a design.

stitchingcrazy 06-28-2011 12:29 PM

I loved the pun you made "making a STAB at it"! You are doing very well. I am not a natural hand quilter and my stitches, although fairly even are a bit on the large side.
I quess experience and practise is the secret to success. I find it difficult to get comfortable.

KSue 06-28-2011 12:33 PM

I think mine are pretty big as well. They tend to be about 6 per inch.

I wish I could remember the site where I got the little kit that I am working on from... I will see if I can figure that out and get that information on the topic. It really did seem to help me get started.
