Here is the latest pic of how far I have gotten with my Hand Quilting. This is my first stab at hand quilting... All I have left is the borders. I feel like I am in the home strech! :)

It came as a kit with the templates for the handquilting design. The border is this swirly viney thing (not very good at explaining) and then when you put them together right it makes a heart in the red corner. I liked this little kit because it had everything but the thread and needle and was quick to sew together. And it had the designs for the quilting. I was able to just worry about my technique and not what I was going to do.

Beautiful! I'm finishing a wallhanging that is part of an online hand quilting class. I am about 3/4 done. It is a whole cloth piece so no seams about which to worry. It's been an interesting experience. I've learned about threadig the needle with Aurifil 30 wt. thread in a size 10 between needle. Had me frustrated for a while, but now it's better.
Good luck with the rest of your quilt. Please post a picture when it's all done. I'd like to see the border. |

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful job you are doing! I love hand quilting, and prefer it over machine quilting, but I haven't done any in a while. Your work is so nice.....keep going!
