I looked at lots of string quilts on the internet. Loved the look but needed to hand sew until I clean up the sewing room (gee, it was hard to put that in writing...) so they are hand sewn and hand quilted.

I have a piece of cardboard in that bib shape and I use it as a guide to cut the batting and backing. After that it is "winging it". They are fun to do! I cut all the strips on the bias in 1",1.5", 1.75", and 2" strips. Jois |
