That is so petty with the blue. I love the effect of that center triangular strip in the block. The block looks like it sparkles with your fabric combination.

It is very pretty, I just finished a string quilt, and I still have lots of strips left, I think I could make one a week for a year and still have strips.

blues are my favorites too. Love the quilt and the technique. What and where is the pattern. I have never made a string quilt but would like to try.

yes, I think I have the same book, but the background in book is white?????? I would like to try this one too, but make it scrappy as I have a file box full of various size strips of misc fab...........

Love this beautiful blue baby quilt. You did not post the "book title" when you posted, so others could make their own. This is a different way to make a string quilt. I have made several and they are fun and no brainers. Please share this Book information.

Thanks for all the words of praise! For those that missed it, the book is by Krause Productions and is called "String Quilt Revival" by Virginia Baker & Barbara Sanders. I found mine on Amazon. This pattern is called "Diamonds are Forever". Charisma quilted one recently someone had done with a white diamond in it. It was beautiful.
