So lovely. Did you use paper piecing?

No paper piecing..just sewn onto a foundation square

Really lovely!

I looked at this yesterday and have viewed it again today. I like the variations of color but that would just drive me crazy looking at strips that have such slight color changes and making them work out. I must applaud you.

I love, love, love these neutral quilts! So soothing & serene! This one is just gorgeous! You should also post this baby over on the string quilt thread... if I made something this fabulous, I'd want to show it off everywhere!

That is going to be a beautiful quilt.

Very pretty! I love the neutrals, and I love string quilts!

Very pretty, I love string quilts.

wow.. great job!

This is really a stunning quilt not matter how large or small it may be. I would not have thought of using just whites and creams but ... thanks to you, I will now!
|
Like it....wanna do one too!!

Oh I like it! You could leave it just the way it is, border it, or even add some applique to it & use this as a background. Sew many possibilities!
|
Great idea, I love making string quilts, have never used neutrals entirely--but now I will!!

Ooooh I wish we lived closer to each other. Won't bore you with the story;bottom line: I can't pick colors worth a toot. Your "scraps" make my heart beat faster! I'm collecting for a scrap quilt in muted tones of green. We live in the trees and have a pond. Two of our bedroom walls are plate glass so we can lay in bed or sit on the lounge and look at the outdoors. Assuming I get it figured out, the quilt will go on our bed.
Is there some formula to to putting together the lights and darks or may I slavishly follow what you have done? I am a good technician and problem solver but no artistic talent anywhere so if you feel inclined to tell me sizes and anything else you feel germane, it would be appreciated. Thanks for listening to my sob story. Pat |
I really like that color (non color) combination. Very relaxing. Thanks for sharing.

Just beautiful. I love tone on tones, especially light colors.
|
What a beautiful quilt!! Looks too elegant for a scrappy quilt.
|
I like it! I like it!
