Have been redoing a room for sewing so haven't sewn all summer.
I don't go by mousie on there ;).

That’s where I got the pattern from Mousie and there are a few files on there showing how to do all the different size blocks 😉😉😉

The quilt shown here starts out with 40 in strips sewn together.
If I start with a 2 in. center square, the strip sets should be about six inches long by 3 inches wide. Cut that on the diagonal. Then you need to add a triangle to each corner. Adding the triangle saves a whole lot of fabric that would otherwise be cut off at each corner.
I haven't made this yet, so this is still an idea that I think might work !

12” block = 4” centre - 7 5/8 x 11 1/8 strips rectangle

15” block = 4 7/8 centre - 9 1/4 x 13 3/4 strips rectangle
Hope this helps 😉 Good luck 😁

I have made two of these now. The first was using strips about 8 inches long with the strip set 4 inches wide. I used a center square of 2 inches, and it came out "almost". Then I thought I needed to add a seam allowance to all those measurements.

Then I made another with strips 12 1/2 inches long and the strip set 6 1/2 inches wide. I used a center that was 3 1/2 inches square. Perfect. That showed me the formula: 8-4-2 or 12-6-3 Add seam allowances to each of these pieces and it comes out.

But when you make it this way, the corners are not covered. I needed to add a small triangle to each corner. I found fabric that matched or almost matched other fabrics. Beautiful!

Elfi2 thanks for those measurements. I didn't see them on the FB group .
This block is the most fun and I haven't even started one yet but I got my mom
interested, lol! :)
