Strip Pieced

2 Attachment(s)
Made with scraps and strip pieced. I used the Flynn method for the backing but was still a little short on fabric so I added the strips.

Bluebonnets 03-18-2017 06:54 AM

That's so pretty and I love the backing too.

ckcowl 03-18-2017 07:52 AM

I love you scrappy strip quilt! Great fix on the backing too.

Great "guy" quilt!

wesing 03-18-2017 07:57 AM

Nice quilt - very warm looking with the browns. I've always wondered how it would turn out adding a strip in the diagonal like that but never tried it. Thanks for posting this. I will try it also next time I am still running short.

zozee 03-18-2017 08:01 AM

I like how the darks float . And I've never seen a diagonal strip on the back. Cool !

redquilter 03-18-2017 08:07 AM

That's really nice. Great job. Very different and the stripes on the back are cool.

Very nicely done. I've seen Flynn do this but never wanted to try it myself. Good job, both sides.

It's also the borders. I thought it was pretty fabric but had a hard time using it.

Ginger's Mom 03-18-2017 04:38 PM

Very nice!

Jingle 03-18-2017 05:19 PM

Beautiful quilt, maybe I could use that idea for some of my fabric strips.

EmiliasNana 03-19-2017 06:43 AM

Love your choice of the warm browns. I think the addition of the strip on the back creates a much more interesting quilt IMHO................but a great fix too.

Adding those strips to the back gave it a distinctive designer look.
