I have finished my Strip search quilt. Some of you may know this by "I could just kick myself" I posted a few weeks back how I cut the blocks all the same way and had to find more fabric. Well It turned out very nice. Thank you for your help I really love this message board.

Beautiful and it goes wonderfully with your living room colors!
|
Beautiful! Love your color choices!

Really love this. Did you have a pattern? Did you sew strips together and then cut them? If you did what ruler did you use? How big are the blocks? Really like the secondary design. How many different fabrics did you use? How did you cut them the wrong way? All looks RIGHT to me. As you can tell think this is my next quilt. I know that I can't have yours so guess I'll have to do one of my own. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

What a beauty!
|
That is awsome! Great job.

Love the colors and design of the quilt. Do the blocks have a name? or is it your own design? Every quilt is a learning quilt so there are no mistakes.
|

|
Wow! It's a beautiful quilt!
|
Great job. Very effective pattern.

I have a UFO sitting downstairs becasue of the same problem! I cut the blocks the same way! Not sure how/when I will finish it. Cant find the fabric any more, it was a "homemade" jelly roll from my LQS that has gone out of business. It may just get finished the wrong way! Artistic license... :)

The finished blocks are 15 1/2. The first strip sets are 5 strips cut into 10 1/2 blocks the 6 strips cut into 12 1/2 blocks half the blocks are cut on a angle from upper right to lower left. the the other half are cut from lower left to upper right. The pattern called for 12 finished blocks for lap quilt, but I have 25 blocks. Due to my cutting error I cut all my block from upper right to lower left. |

The pattern is called Strip Search and for my quilt I used 2 jelly rolls Holiday Medley by Kansa Troubles and some yardage. |
