Oh--you can't tell I'm an understanding person from this top... I could be downright crabby.

I did sew for my students this year thought. Twice.

I have the first border on the second panel--will try to add the piano keys tomorrow. Too much going on--son's getting married Saturday!

Just pretend the alphabet letters are hiding behind the border. I sure wouldn't go to the trouble of fixing anything now. Too much work & so many projects waiting for you.

I think the problem, bb, is it looks like it was meant to be wonky. Then the borders would have to be cut wonky too, to square it up. But I agree it looks cute and you should still donate it.

If you don't want to use it for what you had planned to, if nothing else donate it to a hospital where a child needs a blanket during some hospital stay to help cheer them up or when taking a treatment. There is always a homeless shelter or something, don't just put it away.

No from your blog on Buddy.

That is adorable. If you wanted to you could cut off the alphabet border and add your piano keys. Does it have to be a certain size. You really could lose the alphabet because the center is so adorable.. Maybe you could put it away and work on it later. It really is adorable.

Definitely donate to Project Linus...they'd still love it! I do too, is the panel new? Or have you had it in your stash for some time? Chris

If you hadn't said anything about it being off square, I would have thought that was the way it was suppose to be.
I like, keep it like it is. Good idea, give it to a needy child.

No! Remember the quilting saying? "It should be like that!"

EXACTLY! Keep it. Leave it as it is. I think it's adorable. I haven't read the whole thread, but I did read alot of the replies. There is enough of the alphabet to know what it is. The fact that it's "not straight" is unimportant. Let's not forget the purpose of this adorable quilt. It will keep come darling child warm and cozy. I'd bet any child could read off those abc's in a flash -- even those that are "partially hidden." (I was a first grade teacher and I still kinda think like a first grader.)

 I just love that little quilt.
