Success at the craft show

I was in a Christmas craft show & sold almost everything! 6 small quilts, 1 big quilt, several table runners & toppers, purses, wall hangings & some other stuff. I had so much fun. This was my 2nd year of doing this. And I met lots of fellow quilters. Going to do it again next year, too. This is a picture of me in my booth.

Sierra 11-12-2012 09:05 AM

Congrats!!! I can see why you sold a lot. Beautiful quilts and a very nice presentation.

RedGarnet222 11-12-2012 09:09 AM

What a nice booth debbie. I love the whole look of it. No wonder you did so well, I sure would have been in that booth looking at all of the pretty things too.

patsynel 11-12-2012 09:13 AM

Congratulations! Wish I lived closer, love craft shows.

hockeymom444 11-12-2012 09:22 AM

Way to go! I think I might try a craft show sometime! Thanks for the inspiration!

DebraK 11-12-2012 09:34 AM

alfosa421 11-12-2012 09:36 AM

Congratulations What a great looking display No wonder yu sold out!!!!

Jingle 11-12-2012 10:24 AM

Very nice looking display. I'm so glad you were so successful. Craft shows has been a flop around here for several years. People either want something for nothing or just want to steal an idea.

pollyjvan9 11-12-2012 10:28 AM

You have a lovely inventory. Happy you did so well. This was my first year to do a craft show. Was very happy with the results also.

Beeboop71 11-12-2012 10:36 AM

Yes I agree your work looks great and you did a great job with your display. I am also doing my first craft show in December and have some wallhangings, candlemats, table runners, ornaments, bags, wallets and other items. I am excited but getting nervous at the same time. I am afraiding of overpricing and more afraid of underpricing. I am getting my price ranges from etsy and ebay. Can I ask how much you charged for your tote bags and small quilts? I made some mini bow tucks totes and it looks like you had the same bag. You can inbox me if you'd like. Any tips and tricks would be appreciated. Many thanks and happy you had a successful show. Great to see fellow crafters do well.

Thank you Kelly. I have your pattern printed out & waiting on you. As for seeing my quilts...I sold or gave away most everything I made. I'll have to get busy & start quilting. Just call when you get back & I'll put some coffee on...hope you're having a good time. Debbie

Wow!!! Your booth is so inviting. I would definitely take a look if I had attended. Love the star quilt that you have hanging. So pretty. I so enjoy craft shows and glad you were successful. Years ago, my daughter and her husband lived in Huber Heights. We loved visiting.

annthreecats 11-14-2012 06:26 AM

What a great picture of you in your booth. You had quite a nice selection of items, no wonder you sold out. Good job.

vkasal 11-14-2012 08:10 AM

Congratulations - you're booth is lovely!

MargeD 11-14-2012 10:44 AM

Isn't it great when you have a successful craft fair? I had one two weeks ago at my church, sold half of what I brought, table runners, placemats and Bow Tucks bags, this has never happened to me before so I was really psyched. I've made 2 trips to JoAnn's, picked up lots of sale items and it was wonderful to know I wasn't dipping into our limited SS income. I had a blast, met lots of old friends, and came home a very happy quilter. I also have orders for 4 more bags to be made before Christmas.

jojosnana 11-14-2012 10:47 AM

I m so happy for you!

Rumbols 11-14-2012 10:58 AM

tealfalcon 11-14-2012 11:29 AM

congrats!!!! love the quilt thats pictured behind you wow

cwessel47 11-14-2012 11:33 AM

I'm so glad to hear you did so well. All that time making your items, plus organizing your very attractive display really paid off! It's nice to hear there is a craft fair somewhere that actually has the clientele to sell big ticket items. You did sell them for a reasonable price - right??? It makes me angry when things are "given away" for next to nothing. Congratulations and good luck next year too! :)

topstitch 11-14-2012 12:21 PM

You had a beautiful booth!

mrs. fitz 11-14-2012 12:28 PM

Congratulations on a successful show; your booth looks so inviting. May I ask what you pay for the space, and do you have to provide your own table etc? I did my one annual show a few weeks ago and was happy with my results. A space costs $30 and the vendor must provide his/her own table and chairs. I'm especially impressed that you sold your beautiful "big quilt". People usually aren't willing to pay big money so I stick with baby quilts and small holiday quilts. I bet next year you'll have people telling you "I've been looking for your booth"!
