What a wonderful tribute to an obviously beloved companion....and the fact that it helped your son work through his grief is just an added bonus. Lady must have been very special.

What an amazing job both of you did. I don't understand how you made a pattern from a photo...unless there is computer software for this?

I did use the Tammy Bower computer program. You select a photo, manipulate the photo to what you want the quilt to look like and decide on how many values of fabric. With the program you can print out a pattern. I did a memory quilt of my father that had over 9000 one in squares!
