Such A Lady!

2 Attachment(s)
After the passing of Lady, our oldest was soon heading off to college. Our youngest was having a hard time with the lose of Lady's passing and his brothers leaving home. We decide to make a memory quilt of Lady! Our son picked the photo and fabrics and I made a pattern. Everyday when Ronald got off the bus he would run in to work on Lady's quilt. It was a incredible way for him to work through his lose and grief. We would laugh and cry while talking of the memories of her!

There are over 500 One-inch squares.

This looks incredibley like your Lady. Do I understand that you made the pattern but that your son did the work when he got off the bus from School? If he did then he did a spectacular job and a great tribute to a special member of the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Beautiful quilt! You son made it? Whoever made it did an excellent job and what a wonderful way to work through the grief. No, not only will she be in your hearts forever, but in your home as well.

Yes, my son picked the fabric that best represented her and it is mainly laid out by him. I was there to actually just listen while he & I laid out the pieces. I then I did quilted it. Thank You

Just showed this to my husband and he wants to do one of these quilts. Well, he wants to make up the pattern for me (it's a pixlelated photo, right?) and I will do the rest. Yours is wonderful and what a great way to help with the healing a couple of losses. Your son did a fantastic job as did you. Thanks for posting this.
