check for size

anyone have any idea why all of a sudden we have teeny little pix?

drgranny 05-30-2012 01:55 PM

Beautiful quilt. Did you paint or color on it?

QuiltnLady1 05-30-2012 01:59 PM

I don't know why, but I have noticed that the newer pictures are thumbnails and you have to click to get the larger pictures. Probably saves time loading.

It doesn't really save any time cause you have to wait for the pic to resize before you can see it and you can only see one pic at a time.:(

I posted a new topic in the Main section asking this. It is hard to view the quilts one section at a time.

Your quilt is beautiful paintmejudy!

I don't like the new way of viewing the quilt pictures because I copy them for future reference. I can't copy them to place in my computer. It also takes too long to look at the pictures.

katesnanna 05-30-2012 02:38 PM

I don't see a problem. Click on the thumbnail and you get the large picture. No difference to the old way. I'd say it's to save room on the page. Please remember this is all free to us.

I don't know why attached pics come through as thumbnails but pics that are imbedded in the post come through fine still. See:
Directions fore imbedding are here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/qb-help...s-t168819.html

And that picture above is actually smaller than when I click on one of the thumbnails...Pretty quilt btw...

Really? Hmmm, I see it big. Also any posts of pics I have seen where they uploaded and embedded the pic rather than using "attachments" are big. It is only attachments I see as small. Interesting. Maybe it has something to do with how each person has adjusted their settings.

Click on the "Insert Image" link instead of the "Attachment" link to upload images. That worked for me.

kathdavis 05-30-2012 05:29 PM

And the thumbnail pictures take a while to load when you click on them. Or the pictures come out so big you can only see part of the picture at a time. This is taking away some of the fun with this site.

sewmorethings 05-30-2012 05:35 PM

Don't know why so small but if you click on the picture it gets quite large and you can see the quilting very well. I like the new sizing.

Tartan 05-30-2012 06:36 PM

I don't mind clicking on the thumbnail to enlarge the photos. The bigger pictures are very clear and show a lot more detail. I believe someone said it was due to if you " paper clippped" the photos or used the " little tree" feature.

It’s a tie.
Some people are screaming the attached photos are too small.
Another group is complaining about photos that are too big.

I guess all of the real problems in the world have been solved.
Nothing else left to complain about.

Unless you count starvation, pestilence, oppression, etc …
