Nice blocks, a setting on point would be really nice, However if I used the larger fabric for alternate blocks I'd sash with solid. Good luck cant wait to see it finished!

I also agree with the blue sashing and the print in the outer border would be very lovely IMHO.

the solid colour in-between will make them look separate.
the other more blended

any chance in posting a picture with some solid in-between the blocks...

sorry I am visual I need to see the blocks that way :)

maybe use a solid and then put the 3rd fabric on back its going to be nice when you finish it my school colors were blue and gold

I like the fabrics, but would use a solid type sashing.

Very pretty blocks, I like the navy or gold. Great job.

I love your color choices and that is one of my favorite old patterns. I'm using it in a quilt I'm designing that will be all traditional pieced blocks. Best way to put it together is just to lay it out or put it on your design wall and try different ways. Putting it on point will add a lot of interest. What about some solid navy with it - or solid gold? Maybe the other print would make a nice backing for it. Let us see it when you have it finished.

I was thinking the same thing navy or gold solid, if you use plain blocks in between the pieced ones i don't think a sashing is needed. Can't wait to see it finished

Like the blocks. I think I would get a navy blue type marble and set them on point with the the navy and use the print for the back or use navy and the print for the back.
