I love the colors. The pattern is great! Good luck on the quilting. All I know how to do is stitch in the ditch and cross-hatching, so probably the suggestions of using the painter's tape is what I woud have to do.

I think you did a super job. My first quilt wasn't nearly that complex. If you're planning to try FMQ, just do a meander for the first try.

I agree with Dunster. Nice job!

Miss the black and blue patches..just to stop yellow from bagging. Use the longest machine stitch. Otherwise, stitch in ditch in blue and black blocks. :0)

I agree Mary Ann.......I used painters tape for the first quilt I quilted, and I was very pleased with the results.

Your first top is gorgeous !
I'd suggest some large swirls, please post when your finished.

It looks great. I would just keep it simple and SID! :)

For ME, a new machine quilter, I can't quite get the meandering down (even when i'm doodling!) so I would avoid that. I love spirals and loops and "waves" and things like that. But to avoid crossing over? I'm helpless! And I can't manage that soft curve, either. Mine end up with sharp points!

Very nice. Great job.

Meander would work, but I would be inclined to do stitch in the ditch on this.
