Here is one I am working on, there is no pattern just my own. Here are are some pics and I need help on deceiding which way to go with either 1,2,3,4.

Or should I leave the copapellas out?

I am liking 1 or 1 with out the copapellas.
Or how about 1 with the copapellas on the last out side edge.

Beautiful. I like number 1 best.

athenagwis 02-28-2010 07:05 PM

I like choice number 5, which is #1 with the two border fabrics switched. Blue, then the little blocks, then brown. :) :) I am so helpful I know!

Rachel, I like that idea too!

oh yeah, that really makes the blues pop!

skpkatydid 02-28-2010 07:19 PM

I like the first border arrangement but I would switch the blue and orange fabrics.

Or should I put them on the out side boarder?

Yup!! Like that best!! I like the little squares in there to separate the two borders.

Cheers!
Rachel

athenagwis 02-28-2010 07:37 PM

Actually try this for me... Put the little squares so that there is a little blue on each side and the brown above .... a little more work but I think that will offset the squares more ...

athenagwis 02-28-2010 07:51 PM

Yup I like that! I think the squares were blending too much with the brown, but I really like the separation they give, I'd make one of the blue borders smaller than the other too, rather than the same width.

What do you think?

#1 is my pick.

Chasing Hawk 02-28-2010 08:06 PM

Where did you get that Kokopelli fabric? He is the symbol for fertility and mischief. I would love to have that fabric.

I am not sure where I got it, maybe Joanns. Thanks for the spelling, I was wondering if I spelled it right.

I like the little blocks in between the last two borders (#1) very much, also. They create a connecting theme, color, pathway. <wave>

AkAngel 03-01-2010 12:00 AM

I like the small blocks with the blue on each side as well.

A pretty southwestern quilt love the last one with Kokopelli over the aqua.. that is a definite change for the good. And the livingroom needs a quilt like that so send it right along to..

purplemem 03-01-2010 01:05 AM

I vote for the last one, too.
I found Kokopelli fabric at Hancocks.

obxqwlter 03-01-2010 04:00 AM

I like this arrangement also, I would make the blue the same width as the squares in the main blocks (are they 1 1/2 inch or so?)...I think skinny would make it pop!

Justquilting 03-01-2010 06:01 AM

I like the last picture also!!

978gray 03-01-2010 07:01 AM

I like the kokopellas on the blue and the rust above. Your post of 2/28 at 10:22

MarjaMT 03-01-2010 07:08 AM

I changed my mind. I like the Kokopelli's on the blue best. It makes them just pop out.

shaverg 03-01-2010 08:39 AM

I like the one that was attache to this quote. Wow too many options.

BINGO! That's the one! Love all the fabric!

gramadona 03-01-2010 06:57 PM

I agree with Rachel (athenagwis), also. The little squares show up so much better on the blue. Beautiful quilt!

Rexene 03-01-2010 08:18 PM

I like the very last one posted the best, recommended by athenagwis. This is going to be beautiful!

GailG 03-02-2010 09:52 AM

I like #1, but also like the one where the little blocks are between the borders. Which arrangement pleases you the most?

I am going to go with putting the orange one then the teal with the kokopellis in the middle. The orange may not have enough to go on the out side since it was bought to go one first. If I can figure it out and make it work it will go on the outside.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions.

jljack 03-02-2010 06:03 PM

I really like #1.

Rexene 03-03-2010 05:19 AM

I this this way really makes the small strip pop!! Just switch the orange and teal, if you don't have enough orange for the outside.

Rexene 03-03-2010 05:20 AM

I was referring to the small strip on top of the aqua making it pop.
