[ATTACH=CONFIG]615829[/ATTACH] this Quilt was made for my friend and bingo buddy Darlene Carlson's 83rd birthday on August 14th. The pattern is Nancy's Fancy from Maggie Malone's book "1000 Patchwork Designs but i named it "Summer breezes". All materials except for the backing and border fabric was from my stash.I thought the combination of blue,yellow and white and a blue/yellow floral print clearly denoted summer. I quilted it in an meandering heart design to represent the soft summer breezes.

gave the quilt to my friend Darlene Monday during bingo. She absolutely loved it. Wanted to know how we knew she was looking for one. Told her that my sister and I had to keep from laughing a few weeks ago when she mentioned returning a coverlet to store as was wrong size and not as light as she had wanted. the quilt was already on frae and half quilted by then so I was Mentally pumping my arm in "yes" mode for nailing it once again.
