I am definitely enjoying working on this project

osewme 04-21-2017 03:33 PM

These two new ones are so pretty. It makes me want to pick up some wool & thread & make some. What are your plans for them when you are finished making the blocks? How many blocks will there be total?

fred singer 04-21-2017 04:25 PM

really nice blocks

QUILTNMO 04-21-2017 04:53 PM

adorable blocks!!!

QM 04-21-2017 05:04 PM

This is going to be a truly wonderful quilt!

quilterpurpledog 04-21-2017 05:08 PM

Love your blocks. The colors of wool are simply wonderful-wool just takes dye differently than any other fiber to make the colors beautiful. And, your workmanship is beautiful.

greaterexp 04-21-2017 05:28 PM

They're wonderful!

There are 12 blocks total and an appliqued vine with flowers in the border around them - I may change the border some as I would like different flowers in it than the pattern shows

Mariposa 04-21-2017 06:57 PM

Such cute blocks! Your workmanship is beautiful! :)

Jingle 04-21-2017 07:19 PM

These two are as gorgeous as all the others. Your workmanship is wonderful.

twinkie 04-22-2017 12:57 AM

I have loved every one of your blocks and these two are no exception. So glad you are enjoying the process.

jmoore 04-22-2017 02:38 AM

Each one you have shared with us has been beautifully done...these two are very cheery and it looks like you are enjoying the project.

copycat 04-22-2017 02:57 AM

You do lovely work. I see a lot of stitching details in the second block in your flowers and leaves.

Do you have to cut out all the shapes or do they come cut out for you in a kit? Thank you for sharing your pretty blocks!

Evelynquilts 04-22-2017 02:59 AM

They are so pretty ;)

annette1952 04-22-2017 03:46 AM

They are just adorable! I wished I could do hand work but I just can't anymore. I never did do hand quilting or hand applique but I used to love counted cross stitch. I really enjoy seeing everyone else's though. There is so much detail. Awesome job!

JoyjoyMarie 04-22-2017 04:03 AM

Your blocks are just darling!! You must be having a ball making this. It makes me want to drop everything and start some wool applique!

kathy 04-22-2017 04:06 AM

I've been thinking about trying it, do you know how it looks after washing?

terriamn 04-22-2017 04:28 AM

Great blocks

soozieQ 04-22-2017 05:04 AM

Love your blocks your stitches are great

EmiliasNana 04-22-2017 05:11 AM

This is just the cutest pattern and you are doing a fabulous job with it.

trolleystation 04-22-2017 05:20 AM

Beautifully done.

quiltntoday 04-22-2017 05:30 AM

Cute, cute, cute! Lovely stitching and color choices. What is the name of the pattern and the designer's name? Thanks!

celwood 04-22-2017 05:34 AM

I have lost the link to the sampler. I have 1-8. can you send the link?

Yooper32 04-22-2017 06:17 AM

Absolutely perfect colors and combinations and your stitching is so perfect. I am green, as my arthritic fingers will no longer hold a needle.

You have to trace the pattern and cut out your own shapes - I think half the fun is choosing the different colors - I use a light weight iron on to hold the pieces in place before stitching them

It is called "Summertime" and is by Erica Kaprow - if you Google it you can find the pattern several different places

I am using felted wool - which is already washed wool - it will be a wall hanging and I doubt you would ever wash it but it should wash fine by hand in cold water if necessary

lorimax5859 04-22-2017 06:29 AM

Soo beautiful! Can't wait to see it all done.

salederer 04-22-2017 07:19 AM

Just love those blocks! Please post a picture when the whole quilt is done.

mojo11 04-22-2017 08:05 AM

celwood, I posted a link farther down the "replies" list.

Jecreed 04-22-2017 09:43 AM

I've never done wool applique but after looking back at all of your blocks, I bit the bullet and ordered the pattern. Your work is spectacular!

FGlinda 04-22-2017 10:28 AM

I have this pattern & after seeing yours I am inspired to start. I read thru the directions & have a couple of questions. It says to staple the pieces to the background. Did you do that - was the staple easy to remove & did it leave any marks. Also, the pattern says to whipstitch the pieces to the background using one strand of matching floss & then blanket stitch with a contrasting color. This seems like a lot of extra work. I have minimal experience with wool. Can you use a fusible on wool? Also, do I prewash the wool? Thanks in advance for helping me out.

Jordan 04-22-2017 10:30 AM

That is so cute and your stitches are amazing. Great work.
