Your centre stripe is nice, just as the outer wavy gold/brown/rust is ... gives the sun ray effect.

Perfect colours/frabrics. And so nice you can have it at work for you and others to enjoy it's warmth year round, and especially amidst your latest snow dump!

(BTW I have the final BCS Clue!)

I love that wavy fabric, too... it sure does look like rays radiating out. I just love this quilt to bits! Sp bright & cheerful! Perfect! Thanks for sharing!

Best looking Lone Star I have seen! LOve the colors you chose! The stripes really make it special!

Quilter 65 05-20-2012 05:16 AM

My mother did lonestar quilts and she would have loved this! So do I! I never would have thought of geometric prints, but the effect and the colors are just gorgeous. Hope your snow melts quickly. Need to call DB in Calgary to see if they got any.

It's beautiful!! Lone Star is one of my favorite blocks! Have you sent a picture in to the TV show CBS News Sunday Morning? They use lots of different suns as their logo.

I took it to work and hung it on my wall above my desk. It was the perfect day for it too as we just got dumped with about 8 inches of snow and everyone was feeling the cold...it just brightened the place up.

I'm very pleased with the effect of the striping in the centre star...looks a bit spiral-y.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful love the colors, I have found that when I change colors/prints the stars patterns look totally different. same pattern but new look. good job thanks for sharing. your quilting makes the star stand out .

How cheerful! My son and his wife live in the NWT and complained about more snow as well. Hang in there, spring should be just around the corner.
