OH my goodness. What a hoot! Love it.

tkee 05-18-2016 04:05 AM

Poor Sue! I always thought she was kind of boring. What a fun quilt.

Karamarie 05-18-2016 04:08 AM

Your quilt will be a conversation piece - very creative.

quiltybarb 05-18-2016 05:36 AM

As someone who has always disliked the Sunbonnet Sue blocks, I absolutely adore this.....

jmoore 05-18-2016 06:10 AM

Such a fun and eye-opening post... I guess I've been stuck in a traditional quilt bubble. LOL. Your wall hanging is surely to be a conversation piece for years to come. : )

bearisgray 05-18-2016 06:40 AM

The block names are a hoot, too!

Was this a block exchange? Or was "only one" of you doing this?

5 of the blocks came from a swap but the rest is of my own design. One lady at the guild last night asked me for the name of the pattern book. I chuckled.

So nice to see that tedious SBS lived a little -- before she met a terrible death, that is.

Love your quilt.

caspharm 05-18-2016 07:49 AM

It is definitely a lot of fun.

I love seeing the finished quilt - it is hysterical! Your sense of humor is awesome and twisted!

I love Sunbonnet Sue - am working on my 2nd one; this one is all embroidery.

blondeslave 05-18-2016 11:03 AM

I know people get upset over this but I adore it! Love Sueshi. Did you make an earlier quilt like this?

You might have seen the blocks when I was first creating them (quite a while ago).

sweetwaterquilter 05-18-2016 12:02 PM

rryder 05-18-2016 12:11 PM
