jacquemoe 07-06-2008 08:05 PM

Melissa,
The pantograph is called, Baby Curls by Linda V Taylor. It's 13" deep on each pass. Thank you for asking :P :D :-) :)

Oh Jackie, you did me proud girl! IT'S MY QUILT GIRLS!!!! Well, it's going to be my SIL's.

fabricluvr 07-07-2008 03:45 AM

very pretty! and great timing! i'm getting ready to cut an irish chain for my mom made with daisy fabrics. except in the centers i'm going to put some grandma quotes. and some pics of grams and granddaughter together (i'm still thinkin' on that one).

it's good to see an irish chain with a design in the centers.

kathy 07-07-2008 06:59 AM

now that I can see it at a distance I don't really like the way the yellow looks around the sunflowers but when I was checking it to see if it would define the chain it looked good. Well, I'll know better next time.

live2teach 07-07-2008 11:06 AM

OH, I LOVE IT! Sunflowers are my favorite and this quilt is fantastic. You did a beautiful job on it! I absolutely love this quilt. Your quilting is wonderful.

Kathy-first I figured out it was your quilt because the first picture posted had Kathy W in the file name!! It is a beautiful quilt and I do like the way the yellow looks around the sunflowers. It is soft and buttery looking-it does define the chain and it looks good with the sunflowers centers.

Jackie-you did another great quilting job!!! Your pattern really made Kathy's quilt zing!

quiltsRfun 07-07-2008 02:08 PM

OH! It's gorgeous. Wouldn't mind having that one myself.

rein 07-07-2008 02:29 PM

now, Lisa agreed with you about the yellow - then retracted it! I think you should consider ME as a recipient and you could re-do one for your SIL!!!

you and Jackie make a great team! BEAUTIFUL!

Moonpi 07-07-2008 02:32 PM

Both of you did beautiful work.

justme 07-07-2008 05:51 PM

You both do wonderful work!

thequiltlady08 07-07-2008 06:07 PM

I wish I could quilt like this!! Great job - both in piecing and in quilting.

jacquemoe 07-07-2008 08:00 PM

Whoops, lmbo. I forgot about having named the photo before I posted it. Good thing she's not mad at me. Next time, I'll have to remember to add more information when I name my photos LOL
You should see it in person. The colors are PERFECT. I, too, don't have a clue why she's picking it apart. OH, YES I DO! Like me, she's her own worse critic. Don't you hate it when that happens?

jbsstrawberry 07-07-2008 08:43 PM

Jac....ayep!! hate it when that happens!!! especially when y'all do such beautiful work!!!!

rein...noooo she should send it to moi!! you, however rein, may have visitation rights any time you wish  LOL

Gale Leone 07-08-2008 03:00 AM

kathy 07-08-2008 03:35 AM

ROFL! I have to share this mental picture you girls caused! There's a litter of puppies and you have a treat in your hand just out of reach and they're all jumping like crazy trying to be the one that gets it, you stand there smiling at how cute they are fighting to get the prize, and then you pop it into YOUR mouth!!!! (it was really a cookie! )

OMG now I've just compared my best friends to a bunch of dogs

 I hope I still have my friends!

barnbum 07-08-2008 03:39 AM

kathy--that was perfect! :D

kathy 07-08-2008 03:47 AM

I was so busy being silly, I forgot to say Thank You! nothing like having a cheering section to lift your spirits.

Nita 07-08-2008 05:05 AM

Jackie ~ I just love that Sunflower Irish Chain quilt that you made. Gorgeous! I'm a fairly new long arm quilter. I have an HQ-16 by Handi Quilter that I'm struggling to "get my arms around". Took a customized quiting class, but that was way beyond my skill level and I became so frustrated. I think I need to do more with pantographs. I like that Baby Curls pattern that you used on your quilt. Looks like a fairly simple continuos pattern that i could handle. Can I ask: Where do you purchase your pantograph patterns from? I'd like to buy that one. Thanks, Nita

Quilt4u 07-08-2008 05:08 AM

Great job both of you. You sew grils.

rein 07-08-2008 12:37 PM

Hey Kathy - you compared us to some cute little puppies! I will still be your friend. Lisa, however, may be a different matter - I WANT THE COOKIE!!

jacquemoe 07-08-2008 02:39 PM

Ha, ha guys. At least I had posession of it for a while. Dang!!! And to think, I let it go. Ransom did come to mind while I had it.

Dodie 07-08-2008 06:30 PM

jacquemoe 07-11-2008 02:02 PM

I'm sure you can send a private message to Kathy and she can give you the information you would like. She may get to answering you before I have. I'm pretty sure she's keeping track of the posts on her quilt.
