I love the bright colors, beautiful charity quilt
|
There is no such thing as an "ugly", maybe a quilt you wouldn't make or want on your bed, but some child is going to LOVE it because it will be just for them. I think, by the way, that it is cute.

It is a cute quilt--I like the bright colors.

You would change your mind about it, if you could see the eyes of the child that receives it. It is beautiful.
|
Not even close to ugly! I think it's really fun and one lucky child will treasure it!

I am a 65 year old child.
Can I have the wonderful quilt. Pretty Please. I love it. |
Some boy or girl will be delighted to receive this quilt. So much to look at and love. It's really pretty.

my first thought would have been a lighter background...bad mistake for a child's quilt. You made a great choice in the darker background because it makes the individual blocks just pop. Really great quilt. The recipient will surely be very happy with the gift.

These are "test blocks" I accumulated over a period of time, using fabrics that people gave to me that weren't really "my" colors, or taste, but which went together reasonably well. I sent it out to a local lady with a mid-arm to be quilted - I can't say I think the quilting is stellar, but it is what I expected and I'm just glad not to have to mess with quilting it when I have several other projects I need to be using my time on. I honestly think this is the ugliest quilt I've made, although I was pretty happy with several of the individual blocks. I'm just hoping that the bright colors and the fact that most of the blocks are "pictures" (either novelty print or representative blocks) will endear it to a child. |
this is so lovely and bright and gay ----------super!
