Pretty jacket. Have a question. Do you get sweatshirt a size larger if you are going to make a jacket like this. I want to make one, but wondered about sizing. Thought stitching would "shrink" the shirt.

Yes, I buy a size larger. When you cut the sweatshirt apart, you lose the seams so that makes it smaller. Plus you would wear it over a shirt so you want it to be a little bigger. One tip I would give you is to sew your fabric onto the fleece (inside) of the sweatshirt. This leaves you with the smoother side for the inside of the jacket. It will be easier to slide on over your shirt and also won't leave fuzz on your clothing. Good luck with your jacket!
