I started this quilt about a week or so ago on a whim. The pattern was posted over on Moda Bakeshop, in beautiful pastel fabrics. I have a bundle of fat quarters in pinks, blues and yellows I was going to make this in... and as I wandered into my studio, a package of bali pops grabbed my eye that I thought I'd like to use up, so here it is... looking nothing like I originally planned!

The panto is "Agave" by Patricia Ritter. I used a wonderful, wild variegated thread (King Tut) on this one.

You can't go wrong with a 9 patch based quilt. Love the colors and the pattern:) Love your quilting choice:)

The quilt is beautiful...your stash is astounding...wonderful.

cjtinkle 06-22-2011 02:02 PM

Thank you! LOL that's only a small section of my stash, but I also sell fabric to my local quilting customers.

katier825 06-22-2011 03:06 PM

I've always loved that pattern and I like the colors in yours even better than the ones on Moda Bakeshop's site. What was the color name of the Bali Pops you used?

cmagee84 06-22-2011 03:09 PM

Love it! Everything about it is wonderful. I may just have to be a copy cat! :)

cjtinkle 06-22-2011 03:10 PM

I'd tell you if I knew, I'm sorry! I've long since tossed the wrapper. I have several more packs (different colors) and I'm going to pull colors out by colorway and see if I can make this again in something a little less scrappy.

I was just looking at Hoffman's site. It looks like either Sangria or Blueberry...looked more like Sangria to me but it's hard to tell sometimes from the pics. I just really loved the color combination. Looking forward to seeing what else you make with this pattern. :)

fidgety 06-22-2011 09:15 PM

wow very pretty... and look at all that fabric on bolts... My dream room one of these days

SharonD 06-22-2011 09:52 PM

Lovely quilt

cjtinkle 06-23-2011 01:23 AM

I used bali pop package for each 9 patch and surrounding border, the background is all Moda muslin, the green solid border is a Moda Marble, and the patchwork outer border is leftover squares from the 9 patch blocks. I had plenty of fabric leftover from the bali pop.

It just came back to me, "Spumoni" is what I used.
