I started this quilt about a week or so ago on a whim. The pattern was posted over on Moda Bakeshop, in beautiful pastel fabrics. I have a bundle of fat quarters in pinks, blues and yellows I was going to make this in... and as I wandered into my studio, a package of bali pops grabbed my eye that I thought I'd like to use up, so here it is... looking nothing like I originally planned!
The panto is "Agave" by Patricia Ritter. I used a wonderful, wild variegated thread (King Tut) on this one. |
Beautiful!!! Wow!
beautiful - that's bookmark worthy!

You can't go wrong with a 9 patch based quilt. Love the colors and the pattern:) Love your quilting choice:)
The quilt is beautiful...your stash is astounding...wonderful.
Thank you! LOL that's only a small section of my stash, but I also sell fabric to my local quilting customers.
Just smashing! I love it in every way.
Beautiful, and I really like it even if it wasn't what you were orginally thinking.
It's lovely! And I'm impressed when anyone gets things done so quickly!

Looks great. I love the 9 patch!

I've always loved that pattern and I like the colors in yours even better than the ones on Moda Bakeshop's site. What was the color name of the Bali Pops you used?
Love it! Everything about it is wonderful. I may just have to be a copy cat! :)
I'd tell you if I knew, I'm sorry! I've long since tossed the wrapper. I have several more packs (different colors) and I'm going to pull colors out by colorway and see if I can make this again in something a little less scrappy.

Lovely quilt, lovely quilting and lovely stash in background.
Love your quilt and the quilting is gorgeous. A simple design but very striking.
wow very pretty... and look at all that fabric on bolts... My dream room one of these days
Lovely quilt
I used bali pop package for each 9 patch and surrounding border, the background is all Moda muslin, the green solid border is a Moda Marble, and the patchwork outer border is leftover squares from the 9 patch blocks. I had plenty of fabric leftover from the bali pop.

It just came back to me, "Spumoni" is what I used.
