Thanks for giving me the fabric for the setting squares, that was just what I needed.

Thanks to all for the comments...that's encouraging.
My sis, Vivian gave me a piece of black kona cotton that I needed to use for binding on another quilt....So, what did I do? I forgot that I needed the black for another project and cut it all up for the sashing to use in this one. She also gave me the bright color fabric I used for the setting squares. Nice to be able to shop in sister's stash.

Yes, it is. None of my sisters sew. They all come to me.

Beautiful quilt! I just recently finished my very first t-shirt quilt and have a request to do 4 more!

I'm curious - what size blocks are those. Just wondering for how easy that was or wasn't to work with.

I have a 16 1/2 in. square ruler, so started cutting them that size and sewed the middle row together, then looking through the stack of shirted, I reliazed that several designs were about 17 inches long. Since I needed more length for the quilt, I cut the rest of the blocks 16.5 x 18.5 and that worked out to give the extra length I needed. The finished size of the quilt is approximately 75 by 100 as per request. My sashing strips were cut 1.5 in.

It wasn't all that hard to put together, except for the Pellon fused to the back of the shirts, I had a hard time feeding in through my machine even with my walking foot. The weight of it had a lot to do with it tool.
