question please! Did you use regular cotton for the borders and cornerstones? I have some t shirts cut out but have not been brave enough to start on them.

Oh, but you must start them! They are such fun quilts! I've made two - one for each son of a good friend - and she was well-please with them. I wanted to do a pic and post it, but no one was here to hold the quilt up for me, and the one I took of it on the bed didn't do it justice.

Booklady, your quilts are great! I have material for a t-shirt quilt for my DD, and am anxious to get at it.

Thanks for sharing!

Not bad, you just have to put a very sheer piece of iron on interfacing to deal with the stretch.

I used woven interfacing in mine and the shirts handled beautifully.

I have a booklet 'T-Shirt Quilts' by Jane Davila and Linda Oehler Marx of The Country Quilter. The website is: www.countryquilter.com. You might ask at your LQS if they have it or if they can get it for you. The booklet not only gives good instructions, but also has several different ways to set the quilt blocks into a quilt.

There is also a single pattern - 'T-Shirt Memories' put out by Front Porch Quilts in Houston, TX. The website is:
www.frontporchquilts.com

Hope this helps!

Do like my friend did when she asked me to make one for her son...She simple went through the shirts and took the best of the bunch when he wasn't home and gave them to me at work. Darn! I wish I could have gotten a good picture!

There is another thread on here called "Quilts made from tee shirts" or something close to that. I put a lot of information on there. You might check it out! Good luck!

There is another thread "Quilts made from Tee shirts" where I put a lot of information about how I made the quilts. You might want to check that out. They are fun. You should try one shirt and make a pillow or something to try it out. GO FOR IT!
