These are my latest quilts. They are made for our baseball coach from his shirt collecton. I used a stars theme (our team are star players!) with stars in the blue fabric and the white on white. The quilter also used a star pattern design.

This one uses the white/gray shirts

The sashing and borders are cotton. All squares are t-shirts.

What a great quilt! I heard T-shirt quilts were hard to work with because of the stretch. You did a fabulous job!

Not bad, you just have to put a very sheer piece of iron on interfacing to deal with the stretch.

kimologies 05-05-2010 10:34 AM

WOW!!!!!!! I've only seen assorted colors of t-shirt quilts. How striking to see 2 colors used. I like I like I like. Did I say I like? ~~Kim~~

Thanks so much. The blue and white are our school colors. So a great deal of my wardrobe is blue and white!!!! Oh the longing for red or green once in awhile!

theresse 05-05-2010 11:01 AM

You did a great job on them

sara619 05-05-2010 12:58 PM

gloryj8 05-05-2010 03:09 PM

where can I learn how to make a t-shirt quilt??? I need to know what to do with the tee shirt material.

weezie 05-05-2010 04:09 PM

Wow! They're really very nice. If I sound surprised, it's because I am. I had trouble visualizing a t-shirt quilt, but you have done great!

I found something online that gave some directions. I really only looked for information on the backing part. The rest is just like a regular quilt.
