Just finished this one. My daughter picked out the fabric. She was in bed before I finished it (school tomorrow)

My favorite part is the button, I MADE IT! I have never done that before. It was sooooo cooll!!!

I hope she shows it to her friends and they want me to make more.
They are so fun!

What is this skull stuff? I have a friend who went to a bazzar
and a lady had made back packs out of pink with skulls and she said people was grabbing and almost fighting to get to them. Sh said she must of had a few dozen and sold out before the half day was gone... What is the fad all about? Am I just to old and out of contact? Oh Yes the tote is very nice - the skulld LOL

The skull *fad* is a big one - as well as robots, octopi, squid - but skulls have been a huge hit for as long as I can remember... okay, yes, I was a punk growing up and still am underneath this suburban house frau costume lol

That is awesome! I just bought the pattern last night. I can't wait to start it.

THE BUTTON:

Look in the button and/or sewing notions area. It is a little kit for about $6 you can make 3 or 4 buttons (depends on size). Super easy comes with little template to cut fabric to right size and little tool things to put it all together.

Thanks for all the comments. It is a really fun fabric. My daughter loved the fabric. left it hanging on her bedroom door, was asleep when she went to school.

I haven't read the whole thread yet so someone else may have already included this info (if so, I apologize): I'm sure it has something to do with Ed Hardy, who ever he is, skater dude or punk rocker, I don't know. My kids (in their mid-twentys) are all into this stuff - I frankly don't care for it but is if sells who are we to argue?

Just a note, I do not like the size of the bag as the pattern states, so I make it smaller. ends up aprrox 13 by 11 on the front and 5 inches deep (didnt change that I like that part)
