I just finished sewing the binding on the back. I decided to go with white binding because I will have a solid white look on the back which I will use as white snow for my lighted Christmas village this year. It came out good for using up orphan blocks.

It sure did turn out nicely. What a good idea to use the back for your Christmas decorations.

I really like this. What is the name of the two blocks please? BrendaK

Really like your quilting. A good lesson on why you should use the same selection of fabrics for all your sample blocks!

The center block is the Disappearing Hourglass block that I did QB tutorial on. It was stuck in my orphan block box. I wanted to try Jenny's new Disappearing Pinwheel 5 block and I made two from the same fabric and put them on either side of the Disappearing Hourglass.

That came out great Tartan. I really like your approach of quilting this. I do prefer straight line quilting.

very pretty

very pretty nice pattern!!!

That is just the bee's knees! The straight line quilting really enhances the squares. (All my antique quilts from my great-granmother has straight stitching to emphasize the piecing, and it's my favorite look.) you made it look 'just right.'

Very nicely done! Thank you for sharing the photo.
