Table Tent
1 Attachment(s)
My GD's 3rd b'day is soon, so I made her a table tent to fit the dining room table they have (originally it was sized for a card table). It's made from an old set of queen sized sheets. The "bushes" are raw edged applique sewn with clear thread(used FMQ).

It is wonderful! I would have loved a table tent when I was a child. Sure beats the blanket fort we used.

so cute and such a clever idea!!!!

The table tent is great. What did you use for the windows? Looks like smoked glass in the pictures so i quess it is plastic. She will remember this always and it will be so special since her grandmother made it just for her.
|
That is so cute! I know my DGS would love one. Is there a pattern for it or did you just wing it? :-)
|
I LOVE that idea! I want to make that for my sons (maybe an army tent looking thing or such... well Easter is coming and there is the idea I needed... This is so cool!
Just found a link to how to make one: http://www.utahcountymom.com/2011/11...able-tent.html |
what a wonderful gift she will love it
|
that is just so darn cute....and looks very inviting! how lucky is she
|
I love the windows. Just for peeking out and seeing what is going on. My kids were fort builders - we still laugh about my dismay when they dragged all of the cushions in the house into the living room. This is a great idea! and not anywhere near as destructive of Home Sweet Home.

Sew adorable!

For over 60 years I have fondly remembered the table house/fort we had as children, we even used it outside over a card table. (I tried my first Lucky Strike cigarette under that table in that house, LOL! Also my last. Thank heavens I didn't burn it down!)
Your grands will ADORE their adventures in this cute one, and will make memories that will last truly a life time; you're a special grandma!! Jan in VA |
