I also make tag toys - stuffed shaped bears, balls and others with tags. The little ones love to hold and carry their blankets and stuffed toys by the tags. They are easy to make and make great gifts.

Very cute! I've never seen one before.

Here's a tutorial: http://leafytreetopspot.blogspot.com...-tutorial.html
I usually just put both fabrics right sides together, sew the ribbon in between the layers (so the fold faces inside). Turn inside out and top-stitch! Ribbons are usually 3-4" long. Mine are 13-18" square usually. Hope you make some yourself! |
My grandkids call them tag rags and my grandson calls his taggie. They are 9 and 6 and still sleep with them.
|
I've made them for all 4 of my grandsons..they love the silky/satiny ribbons..my oldest grandson wanted a larger one so I made him a throw size with 1 inch satin ribbons all around it...its a comforting feeling for them to rub while they rest and they all call them taggies
|
I make them too! Fun, Quick and I don't have a pic to post, I gave them all away already. Time to make more!

Never heard of or seen something like that. I love the idea and I know I would have loved something like that as a small child. I used to finger the part between the buttons on pillows to threads because I kept moving my finger up and down inbetween.

So soft & cuddly looking !

So cute!!

Never heard of it or seen it before, but I love it. I can imagine those little hands grabbing those ribbons. I like your idea of the different textures, too. Such creative people here...
