Love your scrappy string block quilts. I have made 3 and always used a foundation.

Beautiful quilts, seems to me the scraps just keep growing. I made 8 last year and after making about 14 more quilts, I have lots and lots of scraps.

Just to peck your interest the strips are from 1 inch to 3 inches in width and up to 17 inches long, sew them together to make a 17 x 17 inch square, no special cutting and I even used pieces that were pieced together as long as they fit the above criteria, heck I even sewed 2 uneven and non-matching pieces together to make 17 inches. Good to know...have a lot of already 'pieced' scraps from prior projects and think just sewing them to something else is definitely going to be a time saver...already have scraps separated in huge ziploc storage bags by (kinda) color...guess I'll just reach in to a bag at a time...woo hoo...inspiration! Thank you!!!!

I too would like a tutorial. Have seen these string quilts, but never had the directions. Thanks
