Did you sew right to the end of the seam. I would suggest you stop 1/4 inch from the end. Hope this helps. Happy Quilting.

Why do you need to make this with a Y seam?? sew piece into 2 pieces press seam open, then add on piece to each double section, then press open once again now you have two 3 piece sections now put them 2 section face to face matching the seam lines on both pieces. Now start you stitching from the middle and sew out and repeat to get the side done. I sure hope this will help you.
In fact I've only done one this way and that's how I did it. I was making a flower pincushion(the only one I did). Keep on trying and post more pics when you "fix" it! |

I will be ripping it apart today and working on it another time. I was frustrated so I iput it to the side.
