Geta, Wow, your work is always so gorgeous. You must send this posting to Jinny Beyer, she would be so pleased to read your story and know of her influence in your beautiful and amazing quilting skills. I have been in her shop, just outside of Washington DC, many, many, times and spent way, way to much money there. I have only spoken with her twice and she was so nice, very gracious and willing to share her advice. She organizes a shop hop every Veteran's Day weekend in the DC metro area. She wasn't in the shop much the last year due to her first grandchild according to her staff, but they assure me she is in regularly. Jinny Beyer has been an inspiration of mine also.. the first "quilting book" I ever bought... way back in the 80's or early 90's was her "Los Doces" with fussy cut stars.
It is lovely and I still love doing it.

I am glad you like my quilt. I already wrote to Jinny, hopefully I will receive an answer !

I spent two days on piecing and one day on quilting.
It's 48"x48".
All the diamonds and squares were pre-cut.
I had to make transparent templates to cut the narrow inner borders.
I usually don't have enough patience to sew diamonds, Y seams or to make templates so that I am very proud of myself that I made it.

What a lovely quilt.
I have admired Jinny and her fabrics for many years. I've also looked at this kit before and figured there was no way I would be able to make it. I'm glad someone was able to do it and share it with us.
